THE MINI SOLDIER

For weeks now the word had been, spreading around town about Levi's new experiment. Newspaper articles were written, billboard ads were put in place, streaming platforms were broadcasting online, and now a televised demonstration campaign set to air moments away, live on millions of cable spots, and internet links across the globe. It was going to be the first time anyone had laid eyes on the K-Corporation's new invention. Spectators awaited upon their sofas in front of their television sets, some sat at their computer desk, facing their monitors at work, and others stood outside, monitoring one, single electronic billboard that had been placed in every city throughout the country, all in which counted down to the final seconds in which the K-Corporation planned on, making their official debut. In just a few moments the K-Corporation's campaign, featuring the Mini Soldier would begin, and everyone was on the edge of their seats, anticipating a grand show. The add started off with the Cybernetic Program team logo filling in the frame followed by a logo titled Re-Birth. The video faded into footage of someone, filming inside the K-Corporation's laboratory, revealing the ten primary founders, each dressed in thick, white lab coats, standing behind a three-foot, silver, bullet shape headed robot, dressed in a black tuxedo, and black tie. The robot waltzed up and down the laboratory, displaying its unique movement ability. The robot did a few jumping jacks, sprinted across the room, and even displayed its superior strength, moving a steel beam across the floor. The K-Corporation's team praised the tiny machine with applause as it marched its way along in triumph. Next, the robot then went from one staff member to the next, extending its arm to shake each one of their hands, using a firm grip. The scene then jump-cut to a second location within the laboratory where the Mini Soldier sat upon a small chair straight across from one of the board members in front of a small table which both appeared too small for the scientist who struggled to fit in his seat to maintain a comfortable position. Spectators around the globe, watching the footage on screen laughed at the sight, marveling as an intense checker match, neared to the finish. The robot awaited the board member's next move. Once the board member scooted his king in place, the robot moved its final piece, claiming the board member's king, ending the match. Each board member applauded the efforts of both players, congratulating them as the Mini Soldier bowed to everyone, victorious. Next the screen went blank. The sound of static with a muffling noise could be heard in the background, as the feed continued onward.
